Drip ice cream sugar spun nails 1b

I wanted something cute today because it’s sort of grey here in Miami. And it’s also a little chilly – so what’s more fun than some cute ice cream nails?! I really like this melted ice cream tutorial because it’s super adorbs and because it taught me an interesting way to do drips – drawing them with a dotting tool from a different direction than I typically do it!

Dazzle Holiday

China Glaze Dash of Dazzle Nail Art 2

For a fun, festive look, I decided to do a simple skittlette. I used all three polishes from the China Glaze Dash of Dazzle set, plus OPI My Vampire is Buff, and a plain black polish. I love how easy it was to do, and it’s such a great look for a holiday party!

Scales

CrowsToes Dragon In Drag 3

CrowsToes Dragon in Drag is a glitter topper full of various sizes and shapes of blue, green and gold glitter. This is my favorite of the collection, it looks all under the sea over blue! The formula was a little thick but very glitter dense and easy to apply. I used 1 coat over Misa Winter Bluesy Blues for the photos below.

Candy Striped

 Candystriped5

I started off with two coats of, from thumb to pinky, Zoya Shelby, Pop Nail Glam Tangerine Taste, Essie First Timer, China Glaze For Audrey, and Lime Crime Lavendairy

The topper shades are, from thumb to pinky, Lime Crime Parfait Day, Lime Crime Peaches ♥ Cream, Essie Navigate Her, Lime Crime Once in a Blue Mousse, and Essie Nice is Nice.

 20131215 ilnp molly1

If you follow me on Facebook or Instagram, you may have seen the EPIC nail mail I received from Barbra at ILNP awhile back. It’s no secret that I literally squeal over her polishes. Every creation is more fabulous than the last. I’ve been soooo backed up with swatch commitments and I knew the holidays would slow me down…so Barbra knew it may be some time before they made their appearance on WPP. But it’s been KILLING me to see all of these ILNP pretties just sitting there…waiting to be tried. I was looking at all the bottles lined up in a row and loved how four shades looked together. I took a cue from the Manicurator (who has done swatch posts with one matching accent nail) and put everything together in today’s post. All of these shades are STILL available in the ILNP store.  :)

I Love Nail Polish Molly…wow. You’re probably tired of hearing me say how much I like berry shades of polish. Add some ultra-sparkly holo and I’m sold. The finish is absolutely gorgeous! This one makes my heart melt. LOL.

The Queen

Ob 138372 triple darling diva combo 4

Today’s manicure incorporates three beautiful Darling Diva polishes from the Queen inspired collection (reviewed here). All three are duochromes with holographic particles in them so it’s given that they look stunning. I have used a striping tape to help me get straight lines and Seche Vite topcoat to seal the design. The shades used are: Crazy Little Thing Called Love, Bohemian Rhapsody and Killer Queen.

Femme Fatale Keeper of the Grove 3

Femme Fatale Keeper Of The Grove is a glitter bomb with green, red, gold and blue glitter in various sizes and shapes in a lime green jelly base. This is all kinds of crazy, and I love it haha! The formula on mine was a bit on the thick side but I had no application issues and the opacity was good. I used 2 coats for the photos below.

Psychedelia

Psychodelic

I received a lovely package from \ with some gorgeous shades…all the way from the UK! The polishes I used were so vibrant so they worked perfectly for the “psychedelic” look…kind of remind me of Pucci.

20131109 mischo beauty the tents nyfw 2

It’s not often that a new luxury lacquer line comes on the scene. So I was super excited to get the press release for Mischo Beauty (see it here). Founder Kitiya King is both a chemist and a licensed cosmetologist. She set out to create fashion forward colors that were also 5-free. If you’ve read my blog for awhile and know my struggle to be work appropriate and “cool” at the same time…you can probably see why the seven shades in her debut Fashion Week Collection made my heart flutter.

Today I have two shades to show you, Mischo Beauty #NYFW and The Tents. Before I get to the swatches, here’s a french mani I wore last weekend where I combined the two shades. Sophisticated, no? I wore this out to dinner and two people stopped at my table to ask about it. I love it!

20131109 nuber wild west collection 1

I decided to go big or go home, so I combined all eight shades into this mani. I did a similar look here, but used striping tape. This time I got brave and freehanded the stripes with a striping brush. I started with a base of Spirit Walker, a pinkish off-white with a touch of shimmer. Then I randomly added funky stripes to create this Wild West themed mani. The colors in the collection are (L to R in the pic above): Take off the Mask, Hi-Ho Silver, Paint Pony, Spirit Walker, Brothel, Texas Sky, Cactus, and Go Native.  I finished with two coats of Nubar Diamond Seal & Shine topcoat to make it smooth and shiny.
