Ob 257bf3 zoya sailor with swarovski crystal tips 4

I have used Zoya Sailor and Swarovski crystals from Stephen Arnold Ltd. e-shop*. The crystals are very sparkly and look so much better than the cheap plastic ones from nail wheels. It took 50 crystals to do it but I could have done with 5 more. I’m also re-using the crystals because I can clean them with acetone. I hate to waste good rhinestones :)

For the Queen

IMG 7784

It’s a perfect bright yet rich cobalt, leaning slightly violet as cobalt does, without being in any way a blurple. (It has much more of a violet undertone however than, say, Barry M Cobalt.) This was also a dream to apply – two coat creamy application and it spread like butter. I was a little worried that it might be similar to H&M blue my mind, but I compared them earlier, and this is considerably deeper and more obviously blue. It’s really beautiful. If you’re half way thinking about it, buy it.

Royal Jelly

FBJ is a bright royal blue jelly base with large and medium white hex glitter, as well as what I think is white matte microglitter. I used two coats for my swatches. There was a LOT of the large hex glitter in this polish, so I didn’t have to do any fishing for the pieces. It applied nicely, and only required a little bit of fussing with the large glitter placement to be perfect.

Orly Royal Navy Swatch

IMAG1208 1 1

Orly Royal Navy is a stunning and breathtaking bright royal blue with gorgeous shimmer. This shade of blue makes me so happy and I just could not stop staring at my nails while I was wearing it. If you love blue, this is definitely one that should be in your collection!

Silver Stars and Jelly Sa...

Bluestar2

Hello people!  Hope you’re having a fantastic day.  Today I have a pretty blue jelly polish sandwich to share.  This was done using Ruby Kisses “Blue My Mind” and Klean Color “Silver Star”. This is the first Ruby Kisses I’ve bought, it’s got a pretty nice formula.  I didn’t have a blue like this so I thought I’d give it a try, not bad for a buck.

Yep. This is awesome. Freaking amazeballs if you will. What you see in my pictures are two coats of IKB: 2012, I read on various blogs/forums that people were having trouble with the formula on this polish. I don’t know if I’m just an expert or what (wink, wink!) but I had absolutely no issues with this. It flowed perfectly on my nails in two coats. I did take Ji’s advice from Facebook to complete one hand at a time, and it was fine!

Violet Beauregarde

Guerlain riviera006

Guerlain Riviera Terracotta Vernis ($22.00 for 0.38 fl. oz.) is described as a “powerful electric indigo blue with subtly metallic finish.” It’s a rich, blue-based purple with threads of lighter violet metallic shimmer. SpaRitual Blue Moon is deeper, bluer, and not metallic. Essie Smooth Sailing is lighter, more periwinkle. SpaRitual Illume has a jelly-like finish, no shimmer.
