Try not to be surprised that I like another purple nail polish. I KNOW.

I Love Nail Polish Contraband 3

I Love Nail Polish Contraband is a rich blackened purple shimmer. This is stunning, it’s not so dark that it looks black and out the sun the shimmer pops and whoa! The formula was fantastic, it was crazy opaque and nearly a 1 coater for me. I used 2 coats for the photos below.

Mine

Barielle midnight in paris

Barielle Midnight in Paris is an inky blue shimmer that leaned slightly purple. The name of this one is completely appropriate, because it looks to me just like a dark night sky! It was slightly thicker to apply than the creams, but still easy. Shown above is two coats plus top coat.

This is another collection that I’m way behind on posting, but I’ve been getting a lot done around here so I’m finally ready to share it. The OPI San Francisco collection should still be out and available in stores now and you should definitely be able to find it online if you are looking!

OPI Muir Muir on the Wall is a very pretty duochrome that shifts mostly from purple to green. This is two coats, but I think this polish would work very well layered over a black base.

NCLA Black Market Collection Prized Possessions has an inky purple jelly base filled with teal, blue, green and silver glitters. My application technique was the same as Emerald Bay. Prized Possessions is practically opaque in two coats. This one would also be stunning as a topper over a dark base.

Amazingly gorgeous

I went with a base of OPI Miss You-Niverse, which is a gorgeous dark eggplant creme that I reviewed here. Then, I took Essie Good As Gold and with just a tiny bit of polish on the brush, swiped it upwards from the tip of my nails. Doing this also left little flecks on the rest of the nail, which are barely visible in the photos but had a nice effect in the light.

Bond. James Bond.

Revlon Elusive 1

Revlon Elusive is a black base with blue glitter. This is another polish I picked up at Target not too long ago, I don’t think I’ve actually seen it anywhere else unless it’s just been sold out or something. I’m not sure if it was meant to be matte but it dried to a satin matte finish and I liked the way it looked so I added a matte top coat on top of it instead of a shiny one. The formula was good, it was nice and opaque and the black base didn’t hide the glitter which was nice. I used 2 coats for the photos below.

Zooming

Ob 336c99 bad apple 3d arkansas over chg tongue chic 5

Bad Apple 3D Arkansas is a blue duochrome with a shift to dark blue and purple. In its lightest it almost looks like turquoise, it’s very beautiful! I’ve applied one coat over China Glaze Tongue & Chic which is dark emerald/teal shimmer. The formula was easy to apply but not very pigmented. I would need three coats for full coverage so I’ve layered it over darker nail polish. Dark or black polish makes the duochrome effect to stand out much more and you’ll need just one coat of 3D Arkansas.

Brown Sugar

Contrary Polish Tiger s Eye 2

Contrary Polish Tiger’s Eye is a golden brown base with a strong golden shimmer. This is my favorite of the collection, it’s such a gorgeous brown and I don’t feel like I really have anything quite like it. The formula was good, it was nice and opaque and easy to apply. I used 2 coats for the photos below.

Glam

 Glam polish divinity

I was up north for New York Fashion Week (for those of you that don’t know)! But this review of the new Supernatural Collection from Glam Polish should’ve been posted this morning so enough talking let’s get to the gorgeous polishes!

Glam Polish Divinity, 2 coats & Top Coat A rich dark purple jelly with a mix of flakies and holographic glitter in various sizes

Caviar Collection

Dancelegendzebrasoma2

Dance Legend Zebrasoma is a cool blue jelly loaded with micro hexes and squares in black and white.  The formula was smooth and easy to apply.  I absolutely adore this one! Shown is two coats of Zebrasoma.

Pahlish So Not Married! is a gorgeous blackened duochrome shimmer that shifts from dark pink to gold and is filled with gold flakies. I love the look of this polish! It is so unique and the light really catches it beautifully. Shown above is two coats. It dried to a slightly matte finish, which I really liked.
