I used NYC Mint Macaroon as my base colour and created the gradient (tutorial here) using Collection 2000 Minx.
For the distressed look I used A-England Dorian Gray and followed Chalkboard Nails’ instructions on the technique.

Event Horizon – LOVE AND NEED. This one was a favorite of mine. For one, Event Horizon is one of my all-time favorite movies. And two, this is such a dense gorgeous jelly! Blackened teal with multi colored glitter and holo glitter galore. This is 2 coats! I honestly didn’t want to give this one back to Amanda. ;-P
Just Spotted the Lizard is a gold and green duochrome. I’ll say it once and I’ll say it again. I love an affordable dupe to an expensive polish. With that said, this is a dupe of Chanel Peridot. Very pretty and interesting color for any collection, and the formula was great too, three easy coats for full coverage.

For this marble, I used my new blog design as inspiration. First, I picked out three colours that match the peacock feathers (China Glaze Grape Pop, Zoya Robyn and China Glaze Custom Kicks) and then I did my marble. But when I was done, I thought it was missing something. So, I added some white dots to tie in the white from my blog as well, and I think that really completed the look.
For this mani, I painted my nails with Deborah Milano 837 which I got in a swap from my lovely friend Maki from Candy Glaze. I then sponged Sneeze Breeze onto the tips and most of the way down the nails.
For this epic look I started with Two easy coats of Bettina Onyx. Then…. Then I went to town splattering in Bettina colors. I used some of their amazing Disco Collection glassflecks and ended up with amazing results. For the splatter I used Boogie, Peace and Hot Pants. I cannot get this look out of my head because I had never seen a splatter create an effect such as this before. This was NOT fun to clean up because the super fine shimmer from the Disco Colors wanted to get everywhere. I don’t even care though.. The clean-up was so worth it in the end!
Nail-Venturous Floam is an amazing polish! It’s made up of a super dense concentration of green and blue glitter, with a clear suspension base. It was actually a bit too thick on my first coat so I added a few drops of thinner and the application was a breeze after that. I used 3 coats for full coverage, although most people would be fine with 2 coats. As will all glitters, removal is a pain in the ass. And expect to find stray blue and green glitter EVERYWHERE for the next few days.
